About FFATX

Frida Friday ATX is Austin's premier WoC centered monthly marketplace and cultural event. We are an intentionally intersectional grassroots movement that supports and amplifies BIPOC, WoC and community creatives. Our monthly markets create opportunities for economically marginalized communities to share their projects, connect and celebrate our diverse cultures.

More than a market though, Frida Friday ATX is a movement for gender and economic justice.

When we started three years ago, our main goal was to create marketplaces that center, amplify and connect WoC artisans & their communities while growing WoC-led economies. We do this work to help bridge the wage gap that WoC disproportionately experience, and because we believe our communities deserve to be seen and celebrated.  We do this by creating local marketplaces and culturally- centered events that promote and connect WOC & other economically marginalized communities.

It’s focused on creating a space where women of color can come together and celebrate themselves, celebrate each other, and really form community
